Tallgrass - Church of Albareth, the Gracious Harvester
------------------------------------------------------

The local chapel, built on the South end of town, is a white
two-story affair, sanctified in the name of the Albareth, a
Demigod of these parts who is thought to walk invisibly among
the crops and bestow his blessings, but only if the Farmers
have played by his rules. Those rules include the five holy
virtues: generosity to strangers, pride in one's labor, self-
sacrifice for the community, honesty in all dealings, and
control over one's anger.

The minister is Fr. Hannias, a man who serves not only as
the religious leader but also as a focal point in the community.
The downstairs portion of the chapel houses the alter and pews,
while the upstairs portion serves as Hannias's personal refuge
as well as housing a small library which includes a register of
births, a logbook of town news, and a number of holy scriptures
which are thought to have been penned by Albareth himself when
he was still in mortal form some 400 years ago.
